Winter Break Reading Challenge (2021)
The Winter Break Reading Challenge has concluded. Over 100 students participated, amounting to more than 1,000 reading sessions! Congrats to all participants and the lucky winners!
The Challenge:
Students were challenged to log at least TEN 20-minute reading sessions during the Haverhill Public Schools 2021 winter break (December 24-January 2) for a chance to win prizes!
Who could participate?
The challenge was open to Haverhill students in Pre-K through Grade 3. Listening to an audio book, being read to by an adult or older sibling, and independent reading sessions for 20 minutes were all acceptable!
The Winners!
5 winners from each grade (Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd) were selected by random draw to win prizes courtesy of Haverhill Promise, Stories Podcast and Buttonwoods Museum!
