Annual Kindergarten Kick Off!
Are you ready to celebrate your child's big step into kindergarten?
Thank you to everyone who came out for the first annual Haverhill Promise Kindergarten Kick Off! We had just over 230 people attend and get to take home bags full of school readiness activities and resources, receive free vision screenings, and there was lots of fun and crafts!
We also celebrated our Haverhill Promise graduates from the Waterford.org Upstart program, with a little pomp and circumstance with City of Haverhill Mayor's Office - Official Mayor Barrett and our Executive Director Jessica Kallin!
Special thanks to our partners Haverhill Public Schools and Haverhill Public Library, our volunteers, and the generous donors who made our school readiness bags happen like Pentucket Bank, Lowell Five Bank, Rotary Club of Haverhill, Cedar's Foods, and the Haverhill YMCA.
Haverhill Promise is so excited to host an annual Kindergarten Kick Off Event each June to welcome the incoming class each year and provide resources to help children and their families get excited and ready for the school journey ahead.
Each Kindergartener receives a FREE bag of essential items to help them prepare for kindergarten over the summer. From school supplies to helpful resources, we've got you covered!
This event allows families to connect with principals, teachers, and staff members who are eager to welcome incoming Kindergarten children into their new school family. It's a great opportunity to ask questions, get to know the educators, and ease any first-day jitters.
We're honored to have Mayor Barrett and other local leaders join us to celebrate this important milestone in each child's life. Let's come together as a community to support our youngest learners and their families.
Want to get involved?
Interested in partnering with our June 2024 event? We are always looking for donations to promote school readiness over the summer months, volunteers to host events, and community partners to share resources and opportunities to get kids ready for Kindergarten.
