Haverhill Promise & Haverhill YMCA Summer Partnership

This summer, Haverhill Promise has provided funding for STEM experiments at both Camp Tricklin’ Falls and at Shoe City Explorers for over 400 campers ages 5 - 10. Each camper receives books to take home that correlate with the STEM activities.

The goals of this initiative are:

  • To provide fun, hands-on learning throughout the summer

  • Increase accessibility to books for children, targeting those from low-income families

  • Share the activities with parents to increase family engagement in learning

Recently, over 400 campers made ‘snow’ and read Ezra Jack Keats book “The Snowy Day”.

Hands on learning activities help foster curiosity and creativity. Investing in learning invests in our children’s’ future!
