Dr. Jessica Kallin, Executive Director

Jessica is a driven government and nonprofit professional with over ten years of experience in education working with diverse communities and partnership development. Her background is in refugee resettlement and migration services. She first worked for the Utah State Office of Refugee Services, then later as the head of youth and family services for a nonprofit refugee resettlement agency, where she advocated for policy change and educational equity. Her most recent role was overseeing family and community engagement at the Utah State Board of Education for all K-12 public education. She is committed to community empowerment and collective impact, and brings with her expertise in strategic planning. Jessica holds a Masters of Art in Community Leadership from Westminster College and Doctorate of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership through the University of Southern California.

In her role as Director, Jessica will build on the work started in 2018 when Haverhill Promise was founded and lead its strategy through the next phase of its work. She will engage communities throughout the city to demonstrate the power of self-directed reading and how it can be a pathway to success and opportunity that shapes the future for all children in Haverhill.
