Community Story Hours
Haverhill Promise is happy to be able to connect book donations, local authors, and other organizations to partner with hosting community story hours around Haverhill. This is a great way to strengthen existing programs in the city, connect resources, and get more books into the hands of Haverhill children. Kindergarten Information Nights, 2024
Haverhill Promise is providing free books and read-a-louds at all the Haverhill Public Schools Kindergarten information nights. For more information about dates and locations, check out their website below.
Whittier Birthplace, August 10th, 2023
We are excited to partner with locations like Whittier Birthplace to collaborate on a Children’s Story Hour and fun activities. This event hosted authors and illustrators from The Writers' Loft during their weekly Preschool Story Time, Thursdays at 10am.
Each child who attended got to take home books read at the event. Snacks and a craft activities were also included in the program.
Ruth’s House, July 29th, 2023
Haverhill Promise collaborated with Ruth’s House to put on a fun-filled story hour. Our outstanding volunteer storytellers were there to transport kids to far-off lands and share delightful tales.
